Hotel Elbpromenade

The hotel has a breathtaking spot on the riverbank at Krippen. Our room was well maintained, with everything organized thoughtfully. The staff were helpful and patient with all our questions. Breakfast offered a good range of healthy choices.

We felt very welcome during our stay, thanks in large part to the amazing service and the incredibly friendly hostess. The food was delicious, with a varied menu that included vegetarian choices, and the room was comfortable with great accommodations. The hotel is right on the Elbe, next to the national park, in a beautiful area. Bad Schandau station is just a ferry ride away. I highly recommend staying here and intend to come back.

We came across the restaurant while biking, when my wife was feeling dizzy in the heat. Sitting in the shade under their umbrellas, we found a range of wonderful dishes, the kind you don't expect outside a big city. The staff were friendly, and we really enjoyed dinner.

The location and views were why we chose this place, but on arrival most of the view-side tables were empty and marked as reserved. The hostess would seat us only in the back, where there was no view and no shade from the bright sun. We changed our dinner plans pretty quickly and just had a beer, which was good, and a soup that was mediocre and overpriced. Those good tables stayed unused while we were there. We went somewhere else and won't return.
