The rooms are simple, so don't expect luxury, but the service is excellent. The management is happy to talk you through the many trekking options, and I'd give the service itself five stars. It's a handy base for trekking without a car since public transport stops at the hotel. You can also walk to central Bad Schandau in about 20 minutes if you need to catch the ferry across the Elbe.

A pleasant little hotel with the feel of an old villa. The staff were friendly and approachable, and breakfast was good.

We'd be happy to return. The hosts were very friendly, breakfast was great, and the accommodation was clean and well kept. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished, and there was plenty of parking plus a room for storing bikes. Highly recommend it.

We've come for breakfast several times. It's cozy and excellent value, and the resident dog is always happy to get cuddles. We'll be back!
