I felt welcome here with my dog, and the staff were kind and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean, with enough closet space, a fridge, and a safe. They even provided a dog bowl and towel, which I really appreciated. I also liked the hotel's sustainability efforts, including the lack of plastic amenities.

The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the breakfast set us up for the next stretch of our cycling trip. We got there at 10:30, far too early to check in, but could leave our bikes and bags. The staff were so friendly and gave us useful tips on local transport, places to see, and where to eat. They spoke great English, which helped since all we knew in German was hello and thank you. Within half an hour, we'd already decided we'd recommend Hotel Grundmuhle to friends. We're from Canada.

There are lots of hiking routes nearby and plenty of parking. Nice place, and the breakfast is good, though the buffet is the same each day and could use a bit more variety.

Marta at the front desk was patient and friendly, and helped us figure out how to reach the park, where to eat, and what else to do nearby. The hotel was conveniently located for our hikes in saxony Switzerland National park, and it gave us complimentary train and ferry tickets. Breakfast was plentiful too. We'd definitely recommend staying here.
