Villa Albrechtsburg

The beds were comfortable, and the apartment was well equipped with a stove, toaster, coffee maker, and thermos, though there was no microwave. Each of the three bedrooms had its own bathroom with a shower, toilet, and hairdryer. In two rooms, the bathroom wasn’t separated from the bedroom by a door, though the toilet had a glass door. The balcony bar had a lovely view of the spa gardens. The apartment is right in the town center, about 200 metres from the Kirnitzschtalbahn (Kirnitzsch Valley Railway). There’s a discount supermarket open every day, as well as lots of restaurants. For a group of six, booking a restaurant is necessary. There’s no elevator in the building. Parking to the right of the arcade was tricky when the six of us arrived in two cars, but fortunately we worked things out with the other guests. We had a lovely stay in the Pirna apartment.

Bad Schandau is a wonderful base for seeing the attractions of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, with its direct connection over an Elbe bridge. We stayed in the "Bad Schandau" apartment, which was clean and tidy, with a sauna and a great view over a babbling brook.

The house has a large kitchen with seating in the entrance area, as well as a kitchen in the apartment. Everything was well maintained and finished to a high standard, and you can walk to everything. This lovingly restored house is right in the heart of Bad Schandau and would work well for a family vacation, a larger group, or even a bachelor or bachelorette party. We found this gem and loved it. We’d be glad to come back!

The stairwell gives the place a castle-like feel, and the Meissen apartment mixes old and modern furnishings with great taste. It has a fireplace and an open shower adjoining the bedroom. A beautiful, distinctive place in a great location, with parking. We’d love to stay again!
