The staff were really friendly and service was quick. Freshly cooked food takes a little while, but it arrived hot at the table. The German food, especially the local specialties, is great, so give those a try.

I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and the place was clean and cozy with lovely hosts. The lack of Wi-Fi was a downside.

Breakfast was plentiful, tasty, and inexpensive, and the staff serving it were friendly. The rooms were clean, but felt rather uninspired. The double bed was only 1.20 meters wide, and the sofa bed was narrower. Although the rooms are meant for four people, the beds really only seem suitable for two. The bathroom was tiny, with no shower gel or shampoo and almost no hooks or towel rails, just two hooks directly above the toilet. There were no bedside lamps. I was also concerned that the cramped two-room space at the end of the second-floor corridor had no smoke detector, despite being covered in wood paneling. There’s no emergency exit in the converted attic and no fire extinguisher that’s easy to reach, which made me wonder whether that was even legal. The stairwell smelled unpleasant, and the houseplants were wilted. Plastic geraniums on the balcony and a “Haha, Drinking is Fun” sign on the building didn’t help. The price was exorbitant for what you get, so I can’t recommend it.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the beds and mattresses were very good. The rooms were tidy and clean; the bathroom was small but functional and clean too. Before our one-night stay at the Hubertushof, someone explained the key and room arrangements to me over the phone, and everything went smoothly. Breakfast wasn’t exactly continental, but it was good and perfectly adequate. A nice place to stay with excellent value for money.
