Feriendorf Slawitsch

We were three friends in the Strandkorb apartment in building 4 for two nights, and it was set up for four. Everything was tidy and clean, including the nicely sized bathroom and shower. The small kitchen had a fridge, kettle, and washing machine. The apartment matched the description when we booked, and despite our expectations, the trains didn't bother us much. There was no one at reception when we arrived, but online check-in had been offered beforehand and we'd already received the door code by email, so it was fine. We also asked at reception for discounted day tickets to the Toskana Therme Bad Sulza. It was an easy, pleasant walk of just under 12 minutes to the baths. Breakfast was plentiful: cereals, muesli, yogurt, fruit, rolls, croissants, spreads, boiled and scrambled eggs with bacon, vegetables, cold cuts, and cheese. There were two juices, water, several teas, and all sorts of coffee from the machine, so there was something for everyone. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Thanks for such a lovely stay, we felt right at home and would love to come again. Best wishes from the three girls.

We booked at short notice and had no trouble at all. The Strandkorb apartment was clean, cozy, and had all the equipment we needed, and check-in was simple. It's a lovely, welcoming area, close to the thermal baths. We'd be glad to return.

The room was in awful shape, with a damaged floor, mold and soap scum in the shower, and plaster coming off the walls. Breakfast was a mess too. The woman said she had to set the table first, and it wasn't a buffet. What we got was enough to eat until evening, but the table only had cold cuts and cheese. When we asked for scrambled eggs, she said it was too much trouble for two people and only served on weekends. We had to ask for milk for coffee, and there wasn't any yogurt. Without asking, we would've had to eat the muesli dry. And there were only the two of us in the breakfast room.

We left our stay at the Slawitsch holiday village thoroughly disappointed. The ground floor "nostalgia" room smelled strongly of damp and mold, felt like a wet basement, and was freezing because the heating didn't work. That was especially hard with our baby. The carpets were filthy, the shower temperature kept changing, and the toilet was so cramped that the door barely shut. There wasn't an electrical outlet in the bathroom, and no outdoor drying racks for wet towels, which is a real drawback when lots of guests go to the nearby thermal springs.
