BSW - Ferienhotel Isarwinkel

The location is good and everything was clean, but what really stayed with me was how kind the staff were. Everyone we met, from breakfast to reception, was helpful and welcoming. On the night of April 21, 2023, we arrived around 22:00 to meet my parents. Whoever made their booking may not have told the hotel they’d be late, but the woman on duty worked hard to find them a room. They’d travelled for 13 hours, though she didn’t know that. She even let us sit in the restaurant and talk while she finished clearing the tables. We didn’t ask her to do that, and the effort involved, checking for a spare room and calling people who could approve it, meant a lot. It was my first time seeing my dad since the pandemic. I hope that woman gets a pay rise.

Just a few minutes on foot from the city, and parking is behind the building for 4 euros a day. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the renovated rooms are clean with plenty of space for bags. There’s a small safe, but no kettle in the room. A really nice hotel.

It’s cheap, but there’s no air conditioning and the rooms get hot in summer. Not very comfortable.

The food was solid, though it’s the one part that keeps this from scoring above three stars. The hotel is very new and the staff are very good. There were lots of older guests.
