The host was so welcoming. A great hotel to stay at!

My room had a lovely balcony view over the village and mountains, with traditional Black Forest furnishings and a newly renovated, modern bathroom. The part of the hotel where I stayed was already finished, even though renovations were still happening elsewhere in the building. I didn't hear any construction during my stay, and it was clear the owners cared about keeping things peaceful for guests. Breakfast was delicious, regional, and had plenty of variety. The drinks fridge was a nice touch, with fair prices, and the overall value was excellent. The small hotel also has a sauna, a terrace whirlpool, and a fitness room, though I was only there for one night and didn't get to try them. I'll make time for those next visit. Groups can rent a grill and arrange food delivery, which is great service. The Moschik family had recently taken over the hotel and reopened it in early 2026. We, the Blummel couple, spent a week with Rita. Our room was lovely, with a beautiful view, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was good and simple. There was shared parking, and the hostess was always around to answer questions. We'd recommend it.

The hosts were very welcoming, and although the accommodation is simply furnished, it was perfectly adequate. The village itself felt pretty quiet, with little going on and very few restaurants to choose from. The bus to Triberg wasn't great either, so we often walked the remaining distance.
