The restaurant was absolutely delicious, with fresh homemade food, and breakfast had a lovely selection. Service was top notch. The rooms were very clean, and this wonderful hotel is run by a very sweet family. So glad we had such a lovely stay on our travels.

I spent one night here in September 2025, after booking a single room. I arrived with my bicycle during a long trip. The place was quiet, the views were great, and everything was so clean and detailed. Friendly staff, a bike shed for my bike, and a great breakfast too. It wasn't the cheapest place I found, but it was worth every penny. Very, very recommend.

The restaurant was a nice surprise. One of the owners looked after us and had great suggestions. The rooms are modern, clean, and roomy, and the hotel is tastefully decorated with a gemütlich feel 🤠. What a gem in Bad Tölz, highly recommended!

The restaurant was much better than I expected. We liked it enough to have dinner at the hotel instead of looking around for somewhere else to eat. The staff were courteous and always smiling, and the rooms were nice and clean.

We had two dinners and breakfast at the excellent restaurant. After hearing during an earlier dinner conversation that my husband was gluten free, the owner remembered and baked some gluten free bread for him. The rooms at Hotel Am Wald were clean and comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay. We highly recommend this charming hotel.
