In Bad Vilbel Dortelweil’s old town, this is a lovely little guesthouse in a historic half-timbered house. The rooms are furnished with care, and the bathrooms are modern. The hostess was friendly, walked me to my reserved room, and showed me how everything worked. There’s a small breakfast room for guests, and my room had a comfortable bed and even a little coffee machine. I felt right at home and would happily come back.

Pension 8 was a lovely find during our short stay in Bad Vilbel. The hotel is tastefully decorated and set in picturesque surroundings, and our room was furnished with care. The owner’s personal, exceptionally friendly service made our comfortable stay even better. We also appreciated having our own little espresso machine. Five stars for Pension 8, from Hermann and Gabriele, Potsdam.

The half-timbered house is historic, and the rooms have been newly renovated. It’s a little out of the way, but the welcome is exceptionally friendly. I’d recommend it to anyone who prefers a personal guesthouse over an anonymous hotel.
