Service was superior, and the balcony was a nice bonus. The room felt small, especially the bathroom, and the prices were a bit high.

The location was good, but the internet was terrible and cost extra. Breakfast could have been better too.

The wellness facilities were a disappointment for an evening arrival. The spa, pools, whirlpool, and sauna all close at 7:30 p.m., so they were effectively unavailable during my one-night stay. That wasn't made clear enough when I booked. I booked directly on the hotel's website and chose the 8:30 p.m. check-in option. After driving for more than seven hours from Paris, I got there at 8:55 p.m. A serious accident on the mountain road had stopped traffic while emergency vehicles responded, and with no mobile service I couldn't call ahead. At the front desk, I was met with a raised, confrontational tone and told check-in ended at 6:30 p.m., even though the booking offered the later time. I was repeatedly warned that the doors might be locked, then lectured about other guests, no-shows, and credit card fraud. None of that had anything to do with me or my reservation. It was an unnecessarily aggressive way to treat a paying guest who arrived according to the hotel's own booking terms. The hotel was clean, but very dated. My double room had just one pillow, one blanket, and one towel, and there were no extras. It felt like bare minimum accommodation rather than hospitality. This was the most unwelcoming hotel experience I've had. Anyone planning to arrive in the evening shouldn't rely on what the booking information presents.
