Maritim Hotel Bad Wildungen

The staff were busy with so many people, yet stayed calm and friendly and did their best at everything. I'm grateful to them. I was sorry I didn't know about the pool and sauna in time to use them, so don't miss that opportunity. This was my first hotel stay in Germany, and the best one I've had. I hadn't expected much at first, but the bedroom was cozy and had everything I needed. Check what's already provided before packing, so you can cut down on heavy luggage. The facilities were clean and nice. Breakfast was really satisfying, with salads, fruit, yogurt, bread, ham, several kinds of tea leaves, plus hot and simple dishes. The garden outside is a lovely place for a walk. The hotel is well located, and you can eat there or go out for food. It covers the basic things you need, with some extra pleasures to enjoy in the city.

The staff were the best part for me, always smiling, kind, and helpful. Breakfast was good too, with fresh, warm food like pancakes and pastries. The stay was pleasant all around. The room was nice and clean except for a few old crumbs, and it was great that the bed was already made. The service included a free bus note.

The hotel and its breakfast buffet have a high-class, old-school feel. The room doesn't meet the same standard: the bathroom was old, and the bathtub shower was defective and dirty when I arrived. Pets can stay in a separate room for €20 a night, but don't expect a bed or bowl for your dog.

The breakfast was good quality and had a great range of options. There's also a small gym and a pool, though the water was a bit too cold for me. The hotel looks decent, even if it's showing its age. They seemed short on cleaning staff, but I think that's a common problem at the moment and probably not their fault.
