Over the years, this has become a little piece of home for me. The Buchner family and their service make it such a welcoming, friendly, cozy, and relaxing place to stay. It’s somewhere to feel at home and enjoy yourself. THANK YOU, Didi and Christian.

We arrived a little late but were still greeted warmly. The hotel feels so welcoming, the rooms are charmingly furnished and very clean, and breakfast was delicious. All the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The fitness area, swimming pool, steam room, and the other facilities are available 24/7. Highly recommended. Thank you! 🤗

The team is exceptionally friendly and attentive, and they make guests feel truly welcome. There’s a sauna and swimming pool, plus barrier-free access and an elevator for guests with mobility impairments. The Alpenhof Hotel at Gammernieder Straße 6 has a cozy Bavarian feel, starting with its charming half-timbered exterior and lovingly kept outdoor space, with plants, a small rock garden, and a welcoming bench by the entrance. Inside, the hotel is clean and well maintained, and the bird aviary adds a peaceful touch of nature. Rooms are cozy and traditionally styled, with warm wooden furniture and modern amenities, including clean, well-equipped bathrooms. It’s a comfortable, inviting place with plenty of ways to relax, suitable for couples, families, and travelers with mobility impairments.

We had stayed two nights, but the unclear room price turned into a painful debacle that exposed serious shortcomings in customer service at Hotel Aplenhof in Wörishofen. On our first call, we were given lengthy offers for stays of several nights, even though we had only asked for two. The price sounded like it was for a double room, so we asked by email for a binding booking at the price as we understood it, and repeated the conditions we wanted. The hotel had our reservation when we arrived. Two days later, the day before we were due to leave, they asked us to settle the bill. It was twice what we expected, and we told them we were surprised. We met with the staff hoping to clarify things, but they seemed bewildered and their reactions felt like mockery. Halfway through the conversation, both women left reception for the back office without explaining why or apologizing. At least one could have stayed. We waited at the counter, where they could see we were unhappy with their explanation. When they came back, they said those were simply the prices and claimed they hadn’t received our email. Management, meaning those same women, insisted on ending the discussion. Back in our room, we talked it over, then called once more to ask if we could check out and receive credit for the remaining night. They said we could leave, but added that this wouldn’t change the bill, which felt like a slap in the face. We had stayed polite throughout and had explained our position politely several times, but got what we considered a very condescending response. A voucher that was fair to both sides and usable for a future stay would have satisfied us. We could hardly suggest it because we kept being interrupted. Management didn’t consider it and simply smirked when we gave up.
