The setting by the lake is beautiful and gives the place a lovely atmosphere. For a 4-star hotel, though, I felt the services were a little lacking, and the rooms could use some updates. The value for money didn’t quite satisfy me.

Dogs are welcome here 🐕 😊, and there’s a nice area for walking them along the lake. The breakfast can work for vegans too, just let them know ahead of time and they’ll bring out vegan entries for the morning meal. The spa area is great, with a sauna, a Finish sauna that’s super humid, and a steam room.

We had a horrible meal, with only about 30% of the menu actually available. What we could order took a very long time and was abysmally bad: dry, tough meat and a cabbage mush I gave up trying to like after three bites. The water wasn’t cold, and the bread wasn’t warm and tasted like supermarket bread. The hotel had a wedding party and two birthday parties going on. If you keep the restaurant open in those circumstances, warn customers who make reservations. Avoid at all costs.

The staff were lovely, and otherwise we had a lovely experience. It would help to explain on the way there that the master power switch is next to the bed. Two of my colleagues didn’t charge their phones overnight because of it.

The people here really deserve an extra star. It's a four-star hotel, and that feels right, but I'm giving it five because everyone was so nice. The food was good too, and the views and surroundings were lovely. Thank you, 53.
