Joachim made our stay especially memorable. He was attentive and went out of his way with restaurant recommendations and local sights, and he patiently helped our children throughout. His warmth and professionalism were outstanding, and he was one of the most remarkable people we met in Germany. The food was a highlight too. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and beautifully presented; the sushi was excellent, and the bar had a great atmosphere, well-made drinks, and attentive service. Our room was elegant, comfortable, and impeccably kept. The hotel also worked well for families while still feeling refined and relaxing. From arrival to departure, Marriott Baden-Baden delivered the five-star experience we hoped for. We’ll be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for great service, dining, and a comfortable stay.

The sleep problems are what will keep us from staying overnight again. On our recent two-night visit, heavy-bass music started around 2 a.m. the first night. Reception took two calls and about half an hour to sort it out, so we were awake until nearly 3. Music was audible again somewhere in the building on night two. On an earlier visit, bass from the bar below was bad enough that we had to change rooms at night. Some guests also disregard others in the spa and at night, with loud music and conversations spoiling the calm atmosphere. There are plenty of things we like at Roomers Baden-Baden. The breakfast is excellent, with a broad, high-quality selection, generous à-la-carte choices like Eggs Benedict, and weekend service until noon. The rooms are spacious and well designed, and still feel high quality after years of use, especially the bathrooms. The rooftop bar, heated pool, and terrace are great in summer, and appealing in winter too, with late hours and drinks served by the pool. The spa has a nice sauna and indoor pool, but gets overcrowded because it is too small at busy times. Arrival feels impersonal and transactional. Despite being a Marriott Platinum member and having stayed at least five times, I’m repeatedly asked if it’s my first visit. Loyalty recognition and proactive upgrades feel weaker than at W or Westin. Even when I ask about an upgrade in advance, the best offer seems to be a room with a little sofa on the second floor. The gym also falls short for this level of hotel. There’s no cable machine or barbell, just very light dumbbells, so a serious workout isn’t really possible. We’ll still come for breakfast and the bar, but for nights in Baden-Baden we’ll pick another hotel.

We keep returning to Roomers Baden-Baden for its excellent location, pleasant modern rooms, quiet atmosphere, good breakfast, and spa that stays open until 1 a.m. We’ve stayed six times, but the front desk has become a repeated frustration, and our December 2025 visit was the worst yet. We arrived around 3:15 p.m., after the 3:00 check-in time, and waited in a long line with no separate elite check-in. Nobody acknowledged our Titanium status. After ten minutes at the desk, we were told the room wasn’t ready and that we’d get a call. Ninety minutes later, we checked again and were told it was ready, though no one had called. We’ve run into room problems on earlier visits too. In May, the air conditioning in our assigned room didn’t work, and the replacement smelled strange. Resolving it took a long time, and at first we were told only a downgrade was available. We pointed out they could upgrade us, especially given our Marriott status, and they eventually found another room in our booked category. At Christmas 2024, we were first assigned a lower category despite a confirmed junior suite booking. We were told all junior suites were taken, then another unoccupied one suddenly turned up. One other concern: during our May 2025 stay, there was highly inappropriate behavior in the spa at night, and security didn’t seem to care.

Breakfast was very good in food quality, though the Japanese/Asian-style room makes it hard to move through smoothly when it gets crowded. We had a junior suite with a great two-person bathtub, and the rooms are well suited. The rooftop bar serves excellent cocktails and tasty food. The spa is a bit small, but has everything needed and was very quiet. It’s a very nice hotel with friendly service, and I’d happily return to Baden-Baden or recommend it to families, couples, friends, or anyone using it as a base for exploring the area.
