The spa was a real highlight, a calm place that added a little luxury to our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, and check-in and checkout both went smoothly. Our spacious, comfortable room made it easy to unwind after exploring Badenweiler, and the hotel’s thoughtful decor gives it a timeless character. We stayed two nights for a quiet weekend and left feeling refreshed and well cared for. Breakfast was a simple, typical European spread with enough variety for an easy start, though nothing exceptional. The dinner menu was small, but had what we wanted: a great soup, salad bar, and desserts. Try the regional wine while you’re here. Hotel Schwarzmatt is warm and welcoming, with plenty of character. I’d happily return for another peaceful escape in Badenweiler.

Dinner exceeded our expectations, from the nice buffet to the good main-course choices and desserts. Service was great everywhere, and the stay was very good value for the price. We only spent one night here, in a spacious corner room with a nice interior, and had a great time.

The breakfast was lovely and the service excellent. The interior has a surprisingly tasteful, well put-together royal golden touch, with floral patterns, golden taps, and light switches in a style typical of German classicism. Definitely recommend!

The buffet was still very well stocked when we arrived at 10am. The cappuccino and omelet were delicious, and you could even help yourself to prosecco. Breakfast was amazing and really worth the price. The service was 5 stars, and the people were lovely. Thanks for a good moment. We’ll definitely come back, God willing.

A great place to get away from the city, with thermal baths close by. The hotel is very well maintained and run by the sweetest staff. There’s a nice spa area with saunas and an indoor pool, though younger people might find it a little boring.
