The landlady was friendly and easy to talk to, and she answered all our questions in detail. The house has what you need and is set up in a practical way. One thing to know is that the fence is only about 50 cm high. The beds are all singles, and in one room the mattresses were at different heights, so proper double beds would have suited us better when staying with a partner. Apart from that, everything was fine.

We came back for a second stay and again found the house clean and well cared for. There were nine of us, and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed, which isn't always the case in other houses. The rooms are lovely and the bathrooms are spacious, though the first-floor shower is quite small.

Markerup is lovely for hiking and cycling, and the house has a big garden with a nice sauna. The interior is being renovated, which seems needed for the price. The downside is the location beside a goose farm: the geese are very loud and smelly, and forklifts and trucks are active nearby. The house itself is quite nice.

The sauna was a real highlight, and there was room for up to 15 people. It's a lovely place close to nature, with a big property, a beautiful terrace, and a huge grill.

We had everything we could wish for here, from the great entrance and sauna to the fireplace, comfortable kitchen, and large outdoor area. Communication with the landlady was excellent. Highly recommended.
