The Christmas decorations were tasteful, and the hotel rooms were clean, spacious, and had great views. They set up a large table for our family gathering, which worked well. Breakfast was great, though the dinner buffet was only average and the half board felt overpriced. Some staff seemed a little grumpy, and the pool’s opening hours are limited.

I had a fantastic weekend there. The room was great and had a nice view, and I especially enjoyed breakfast. The spa centre and restaurant were really good too.

The hotel is really beautiful, and the service was kind. The room was much too bright, though, with no way to darken it. It really needs blackout blinds. Ballenstedt isn’t much of a special town, and there are hardly any restaurant options.

We only stayed one night, so I can’t say much about the area. The service was very good, and they understood my English well. Our room had a nice view, and having access to a mini fridge was a nice touch. Breakfast and dinner were good; breakfast was included in the price and had enough variety. It was well worth the overall cost.
