The breakfast was very good, with a thoughtful selection. It isn't the huge spread you'd find in a larger hotel, and I imagine that's partly because sustainability also means avoiding piles of food left over after breakfast. The hotel makes a real effort to be ecological and sustainable, which matters to how comfortable I feel here. I had a lovely single room and spent time in the comfortably furnished library in the attic. There were pillows and blankets of all kinds around the hotel. Some reviewers complain that there are no wellness facilities, but I see this place as a nature hotel. “Wellness” isn't a protected term, and it's easy to check online or call to find out what a hotel offers. For me, the cozy, lovingly furnished shared rooms, the bright, cheerful decor, and the carefully chosen breakfast are wellness enough.

We loved the generous breakfast and the beautifully furnished rooms, with lovely views of the surrounding nature. The hotel is in a quiet but central spot, and has shared spaces including a library, TV room, and yoga room, plus a sauna guests can use. Outside, there are different places to sit or lounge in the sun. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. One small thing that could be improved: a new coffee machine would better match the high standard of breakfast. We highly recommend this nature hotel!

I really liked this hotel and its friendly owner. The rooms are very clean, and guests can use the yoga room, gym, and sauna for free. Breakfast was varied and delicious. My one problem was the lack of blackout curtains. I was wide awake at 5 a.m. every morning.

I felt very comfortable at the Naturhotel Baltrum and would happily return. My room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the dunes, and the breakfast buffet was extensive, with vegan options too. The beach is an easy walk away. There's also a large exercise room for Tai Chi, yoga, or other activities. The hotel is in the eastern part of the island, making it a good base for exploring that area, including the national park. Thank you for a relaxing stay.
