We were only two, and the apartment was fine for us, but I wouldn't want to squeeze in the five people it can sleep. The Wi-Fi was very weak, there was no hairdryer or spare blanket, and we couldn't get a toilet key. With October storms, extra blankets would have been welcome. Booking.com also passed our reservation on incorrectly, though that was sorted out quickly. The landlords were friendly, the place was clean, bright, warm, affordable, and well located, with clear costs. A few small issues probably could have been worked out with them. I'd definitely return.

The terrace and garden were lovely, and the location on this beautiful island was great. But during our six days in Apartment 1, with three adults and our 1.5-year-old, we found a huge number of woodlice. We had to vacuum as soon as we got up, and before showering we shook out the towels and rinsed the bathtub. It was truly disgusting, and the landlady seemed to know about the problem. We'd happily visit Baltrum again, just never this apartment.

We stayed in Apartment 1, and it was very clean, well equipped, good value, and easy to check into and out of. The landlady was lovely and lives right across the street. There were woodlice, which you might expect in a basement apartment, but a bit of vacuuming here and there dealt with them. The bakery is a one-minute walk and opens daily at 7:30, the fresh market is right next door from 8:00, and Sturm Eck is about three minutes away. We'd gladly stay again.

The walks were the best part for us. We covered 10-13 km almost every day, heading east through lovely natural scenery and finding new views along the way. If you like peace and quiet, it's a great place for that. For meals out, we'd recommend Skippers'In in the west of the village and Café Kluntje in the east. Seevilla Wietjes is in a quiet neighborhood, with the Inselmarkt, the Bäcker and even the indoor pool practically next door, though we didn't visit the pool. We were in apartment 6 for about a week. It was clean, practical, and comfortable for two even in bad weather, with a kitchen that had what we needed, including dishes, cutlery, a small dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster. The building carries sound a bit, but it didn't bother us. The chairs felt too small and worn, and we quickly got back pain. The spring mattresses were also uncomfortable for us, though that's personal preference. I'd absolutely recommend the place.
