Brudermühle

We went for dinner in June 2024 and never got to eat. The waitress kept chatting and ignored my wife and me. When we finally placed our order, the waiter told us that dish wasn’t available, so we chose something else. Then the waitress came back to say the kitchen was closed, even though it was only 8 pm and there was still an hour to go. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The rooms are basic and small, but very clean. The TV didn’t work; I didn’t mind and didn’t complain. I had a great experience with the service despite speaking only limited German, and both breakfast and the food were fantastic. The location was perfect for sightseeing, with nearby parking, breakfast included, and the whole city within walking distance. I’d highly recommend staying here in Bamberg.

We’ve gone three times, thinking each time that the rude waitress might have changed. It was the same one every visit. I wouldn’t recommend the place. You can get German food elsewhere, with better service from people who seem happy to have your business. Spend your money somewhere else.

We loved being next to the river, though the sound might make it hard to sleep if you’re sensitive to noise. We stayed in July and really liked the place, including the excellent hotel restaurant. There’s no air conditioning, and even with the windows open, the room doesn’t get much air circulation.
