Hotel & Tafernwirtschaft zum Fischer

The restaurant food was excellent, and the room was spacious with a great shower. It’s clean, friendly, and has free secure parking. Getting the train into central Munich takes about 25 minutes. The only drawback was street noise when we had to keep the front-facing windows open.

We had a great choice of dishes on the half-board menu and could order anything from it. One evening we had steak with onions and roasted potatoes, plus oven-roast meat with a potato dumpling; the next, Wiener Schnitzel and Thai curry. The food was great, and the staff were friendly and professional. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and clean, right across from the train station and post office. Five stars, and we’ll definitely come back.

We were glad we picked this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice, the beer was good, and the waiters were friendly. I had the delicious granny’s veal goulash, while my wife went for the roast pork. Such a lovely evening, with excellent food.

The tavern felt cozy, and the friendly atmosphere and service were just what we needed after a cold, somber visit to the concentration camp. The käsespaetzle was super tasty, with crispy onions and a side salad. It had been ages since I’d had fresh greens in Bavaria. My partner thought the dumplings were the best she’d had in Germany. A good place for food and drinks before catching the train back to Munich.
