The room was lovely, and the hotel has plenty of character. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown, and the mattress was much too soft. Still, it's a really nice hotel.

We've stayed here twice now, and plan to come back. Though it's in Bamberg's old part, our quirky room was quiet, clean, and well looked after. The small hotel feels cozy, the staff are lovely, and breakfast has fresh, good-quality food with a nice range of choices. There are a few things to know: rooms don't have minibars, and the wifi could use more access points. When I first wrote this, there was no air-conditioning either. That's since changed, and all rooms now have it. There's still no minibar, but you can buy reasonably priced cold drinks from a fridge by the elevator.

We left the car in a multistorey parking garage about a five-minute walk away. The hotel itself is clean and has a bit of age and charm to it. It's right in Bamberg's old town, so it suits a night or two well. Breakfast was good.

The breakfast was amazing, and the hotel is in a lovely spot. Unfortunately, other guests were loud after 10 p.m., and our little son woke up three times before they went back to their rooms.
