Gutspark Seeblick

We spent five days here over New Year’s with our dog, and Gutspark Seeblick is a lovely holiday complex that I’d recommend to dog owners. It’s very quiet, and the water is just a short walk away. Kühlungsborn and other larger towns are easy to reach by car. The apartment was a good size and had everything we needed. The furnishings are a little dated, though, and the sofa could definitely do with being replaced.

We’ve been coming to the Loose family’s place regularly for 20 years and used to be happy with it, but we can’t recommend it anymore. We left after three days because the worn-down furnishings made it too uncomfortable, and the value for money felt poor. The curtains were old and very dirty, and the sofas were so uncomfortable that relaxing in the evenings was difficult. The seating felt more like decent patio furniture. It also seemed very odd that we could only pay cash and weren’t given a receipt. The grounds, at least, are very well maintained.

The farm shop is just 100 meters away, with everyday essentials and local sausage, honey, and fresh fish. The village is quiet and its people are friendly, and the coast is an easy 800-meter walk. We felt at home as soon as we arrived at the spotless, well-equipped apartment. The peaceful setting was lovely, and the estate is especially good for families and animal lovers. Our child was fascinated by the sheep, birds, and rabbits, all of them friendly and clearly well cared for. We could relax while our little one petted the sheep, and the owners deserve credit for looking after them so well. There was plenty to keep all ages occupied, with a playground and lots of books and toys inside and out. The grounds are attractive and meticulously maintained, with little details to discover, comfortable seating spots, barbecue facilities, and a smoker guests can use. The host family were warm and kind, and their trust really stood out. We bought delicious game from the farm and were simply asked to leave the money in the apartment when we checked out. That sort of hospitality is rare these days. We had such a relaxing time here. It was one of our best holidays, and we’d happily come back. Thanks for everything!
