We came across this place while driving around and were glad we stopped. The homemade sauce tasted genuine, not commercial, and the schnitzel was just right with the asparagus. The asparagus itself was light, fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the soup was excellent too. The Kaiserschmarn was the best I’ve ever had.

We won’t be coming back. The price just wasn’t justified by what we got, and when we raised our concerns politely, we were met with excuses. The restrooms badly needed cleaning and renovation, and the service was lacking: hot plates were just put in front of guests, and drinks weren’t poured. The food was a letdown too. The venison goulash was watery and tasteless, the goose leg was dry, and the dumplings tasted straight from a packet. We arrived with high expectations and left disappointed.

Dogs are welcome, and the food is hearty and incredibly tasty. We had a cozy atmosphere and very friendly, attentive service. A really lovely restaurant, highly recommended!
