I’ve been here several times, and it’s great to see what the new owners have done with the schattenhofer in such a short time. The beer garden is especially lovely. The rooms are modern and well looked after, and I really liked the rain shower. You can also book the Finnish sauna for an hour, which was fantastic. We had great food, with quick, friendly service. I’d recommend it for traditional Bavarian cooking. I loved the schauferla, and my partner was a fan of the käse Spätzle.

This has become my go-to place in Germany when I need to get away from the daily hustle and relax. My room was immaculate, and the staff always made me feel welcome and did their best to help.

It’s a lovely historic spot, and the people are very friendly. The food was really good, and my colleagues say the beer is good too. I’ve taken off a star because noise from the tavern and the road carried on late into the night. The guest rooms are above the tavern.

We stayed here while passing through on our way to Austria and had a lovely time. The hotel has been newly renovated, the rooms were lovely, and the traditional food was great. Staff were super friendly and very service-minded.
