The house is a little way out of Berchtesgaden, but getting around is easy by car or by bus, which is free with the guest card. There’s a private parking spot, and the price feels fair. You’re supplied with towels, bedding and the basics, plus a small kitchenette. The hosts are friendly and glad to share travel tips. Inside, things are simple, but you’re probably out enjoying the area anyway. The setting is lovely, with forests and mountains all around, and a great view of Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest) when the clouds cooperate.
