The owners were really friendly and helpful, and the balcony has a magnificent view. Inside, the apartment and kitchen had everything we needed, including coffee and cooking utensils, all good quality. It was beautifully furnished with care. The Wi-Fi did drop out now and then, though it barely affected our stay. We’d happily recommend it.

The apartment itself is full of charm, thoughtfully decorated, and very well equipped. We stayed in the “Watzmann” at Haus Kilian in May, and the personal welcome was lovely: they showed us around and offered to help with any questions. You can tell a lot of care has gone into the place. The problem for us was the noise. Although the house sits beside a river, a busy main road is directly across from it, and traffic could be heard from early morning until evening. We like sitting on the balcony and having some quiet around midday, but that was hardly possible here. At €160 a night, we expected a more peaceful setting, or at least a more accurate description of the location on the website. Calling it a “quiet environment” felt misleading. It’s a charming, lovingly run house, just not a great fit if peace and quiet are what you’re after.

We had such a cozy, lovely apartment, with a view of the Watzmann mountain. It was clean and fully equipped, and the landlords were about as nice as you could hope for!
