Breakfast was decent, and the basic rooms matched what was advertised. The walk into town took about 25 minutes, though the route was still fine for seeing beautiful Berchestegarden. The low price came with some real downsides: staff were unfriendly and sometimes rude, and the receptionist argued with us at check-in. They also didn't mention the major Oktoberfest event happening just a few minutes away in Berchestegarden. The lobby could use more attention and had no water, tea, or coffee for guests. We were told we couldn't have coffee because check-in was still three hours away. I wouldn't stay here again.

The only bright spot was the friendly staff. The room felt more like a hostel than a hotel, and it was cramped enough that opening a suitcase was difficult. It was hot, with no air conditioning and just a tiny window, and I could hear every word and loud snores from next door all night, so sleep was impossible. The carpet was filthy and there were curly hairs on the bed, if you know what I mean. Some of the furniture looked cheaply made, and it's a long way from the train station.

We only stayed one night and had no complaints. The small hotel felt welcoming, our room was comfortable, and breakfast had lots of tasty choices. The woman at the front desk was helpful. It's close to the salt mine and near the town center without being right in the middle of everything. There's a bus stop nearby, though having a car is recommended. Berchtesgaden is incredibly beautiful, and we'd stay here again.

The balcony looked out to an amazing view of the Watzmann mountain, and the stay was very comfortable. The woman at reception explained everything clearly and had good recommendations. She even kept the sauna open longer for me!

The room was about average in size, with a great shower, and the place has been modernized and well equipped. Breakfast is available. The elevator area is closed from 9 pm until 7 am, and I'm not sure how someone using a wheelchair would manage that restriction.
