Villa Doris

The old carpets left an odor that stayed in the house throughout our five nights, even after I opened doors and windows to air it out. We also heard noise clearly from upstairs at night because the ceiling doesn't block sound well. The bathroom felt quite small beside the spacious main bedroom, and a few old appliances caused minor trouble. The rooms have old-fashioned furnishings, though we tried to make ourselves comfortable. Some of the interior has been renovated. It's a beautiful historic house with a garden and mountain views, and it was once a hospital during the Second World War. All in all, the stay was just fine if you can overlook the smell, noise, and small issues with the old equipment and furniture.
