The surroundings are lovely, which makes this even more disappointing. It’s 3 AM and I’m trying to get some sleep before my sister’s wedding, but the ventilation is so noisy I can’t rest for even 3 min. If noise bothers you, avoid this place. It’s ridiculous that guests have to put up with this.

The rooms are spotless and well equipped, and both the breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were wonderful. The setting is spectacular too. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel welcome. This is German hospitality at its best. Bravo!

The hotel itself was great, and getting around was easy. Breakfast was great too, and the other people we met were very friendly. I wish I could rate the place higher, but the receptionist seemed so stressed that she bluntly said she had no time to help because she was busy with something else. I understand being busy, but there are more considerate ways to tell a guest.

The food was high quality, as always, and worth the wait. We had Sunday lunch in the winter garden, with a panoramic view of the Alps. It was extremely busy, and the service team was clearly stretched, so there were some delays, though they still did their best. This restaurant is very popular, so I recommend booking ahead.

We had dinner here twice during our trip to Berg, and loved it both times. The food was fantastic, and the service was amazing. We also had great views of hot air balloons drifting over the hills at sunset. There’s a kids’ play area too. I’d 100% recommend it to anyone in the area.
