Hotel Schloss Berg

We rented 2 electric bicycles, which turned out to be the best choice of the weekend. Riding around the lake was beautiful. I also loved the location and breakfast, and the facilities are really nice. The wellness center is included in the booking. And credit to the receptionist, who was really nice to us every time.

The hotel feels fairly modern and is nice, but we had an allergic reaction to the carpet and couch. It seemed as though the rooms hadn’t been vacuumed properly, almost like pets had used them before. The receptionists were helpful, though they spoke in an oddly patronizing, arrogant tone for no obvious reason.

We arrived for a last-minute evening check-in during the off season and would visit again. The lake-view balcony had lovely scenery, and the room was excellent, with a bathtub and hot water. Reception staff were very helpful on both days, breakfast was nice, and e-bikes are available to rent on the property. There’s also a restaurant right next to the hotel with a great view. One tip for anyone arriving by public transport: maps may send you along a route meant for cars, and you can get blocked by gates in fields and have to take the long way back.

The lake view from our clean room was spectacular, and the staff were polite and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here and will remember the place for a long time. It was a bit pricey given the neighborhood and the stay, so I expected a few more toiletries and complimentary items. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit.
