Familotel Landhaus Averbeck

We had a fantastic stay at Landhaus Averbeck. The rooms, food, and people were all great, five stars all the way. Booking was a little challenging, and the language barrier was noticeable for our family since we don't speak German, but we took that as part of the charm.

We liked our stay enough to book directly for next year, our third visit. Averbeck is an amazing family hotel, with what you need for both kids and adults. It's especially nice for families wanting to slow down and spend time together. The food was much better than we expected from a family hotel. There were good food and cake options, regional ingredients, and homemade cakes. They catered to all kinds of wishes. The kids club had loads of activities, probably for children up to around 10, and my kids loved it. The indoor pool felt a bit small, so we had to book a time slot for swimming. That was fine in summer, since there's an outdoor heated pool too.

Our four-year-old had a great time, with so much to do and explore. The room was spacious and clean, and the whole property is beautiful and clearly very well cared for. It's a lovely family-run resort for families, right in the middle of the Lüneburgerheide. The service was outstanding, they granted every wish, and the food was fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. We had a perfect week at Landhaus Averbeck and will definitely be back very soon. We spent four nights at this old farm turned hotel and would definitely recommend it for a kids' vacation. It offers full board and lots of activities, including a very good kids club. The facilities are new or well maintained. There's an outdoor playground, plus an indoor play area connected to the restaurant where kids can run back and forth. The indoor pool area is relatively new and has a large pool as well as a baby pool.
