Hotel Rosenhof

We had our wedding at the Rosenhof, and the day was unforgettable. The venue looked beautiful, the welcome was warm, and the service was friendly. Everyone was thrilled with the delicious food and the great selection. We'd gladly come back, and can wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you so much for such a wonderful day :)

Dinner was served quickly and came piping hot. We had the hunter's schnitzel, which came with salad, and baked vegetables with chicken. Everything tasted great, and the tiramisu was especially delicious. The staff were helpful and very friendly, the service was excellent, and both the restaurant and restrooms were spotless. The price was reasonable too. We finished with a complimentary house schnapps. We'd be glad to return.

What stood out on our first visit to the Rosenhof was the cheerful, warm service. The restaurant was very clean and well kept, and the food was excellent, arrived promptly, and was reasonably priced. In my view, it can easily compete with any other restaurant in the Heidekreis region. We'll definitely be back.

We arrived around 6:00 PM one evening to find the hotel oddly empty. After checking into our room, we were told, though not when we booked online, that credit cards couldn't be accepted because of a supposed region-wide internet outage. They stressed that nearby businesses were affected too and pointed out a cash machine in town. But I'd used my card for other purchases in the area that very morning, so the explanation seemed strange. I checked Booking.com out of curiosity and saw that the room price we'd been quoted was significantly higher than the advertised price there. We left straight away and slept 200 meters from the Rosenhof that night. The people there hadn't heard of the supposed outage. The property's unfair and ambiguous attitude makes me advise others against staying there.
