The apartment and its setting are lovely, and the bedroom was fine. But the kitchen was badly kept, and the oven smelled awful when I used it. The bathroom needs some upkeep too. Cleanliness was a problem, with cobwebs around. The owner doesn't speak English.

The place is in a lovely area close to Cologne, and the price is good. We had a comfortable bed, a clean and tidy room with a small kitchen and bathroom, plus free parking and Wi-Fi. The decor is dated, but the location and cost make up for it.

The kitchen has very little equipment, and this feels like a typical place for construction workers. I wouldn't consider it suitable for families with children.
