The furniture looks like it’s from the 90s. It was November and really cold outside, around -2 degrees, but the room was freezing. They kept switching the heater off. I asked them in the morning to leave it on so I could come back, shower, and not get sick, but when I returned they’d turned it off again. The next morning, they did it again.

The host makes me feel right at home, and Refrather Hof has quickly become my go-to hotel in the area. Breakfast is included and top shelf. I asked if they could get gluten-free bread or rolls for the next morning, and they brought some for me within 10 minutes while I was having breakfast that day. There’s also a great spa within walking distance, and public transportation gets you into the city. All for a very reasonable price. My highest recommendation!

We stayed three nights and would go back. Service was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotless, and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. I would have preferred a kettle for making tea.

Everything else was fine, with friendly, helpful staff and a good breakfast. The one problem was the Wi-Fi in my room. It hardly ever worked, and when it did, it was very slow.

A nice hotel with clean, good rooms and a very good breakfast. There was no mini bar, and the Wi-Fi was pretty bad and slow.
