Henry, the barista, was such a highlight for me. He was sweet, funny, and respectful, and every chat made my day better. He clearly cares about people and made everyone feel welcome. The Tuesday karaoke night was also way more fun than I expected, and the guy running it was kind and welcoming, making sure everyone felt included. The staff were all incredibly nice and respectful, which made my stay at a&o Hostel Berlin Friedrichshain feel comfortable and easy. I had such a damn good experience and would absolutely come back.

I keep coming back to a&o Berlin Friedrichshain for work, and the relaxed, friendly feel is a big reason why. It's lively and social without getting chaotic. There's often live music, so the place feels energetic and welcoming, but I can still work comfortably and peacefully during the day. The staff are consistently kind, professional, and helpful. Henry deserves a special mention for his positive attitude and for always being available and making guests feel welcome. Those little things make a real difference. I'd recommend it to travelers and people working remotely who want a friendly place to stay in Berlin.

The service isn't always pleasant, and we sometimes felt like we were bothering the staff. Gabriel, though, is a true king: extremely kind and helpful, and he deserves a raise. The hotel is in a very good location, with a nice environment. It's very clean, and the breakfast is perfect.

Are you kidding me?! We had FOUR suitcases, each weighing 25 kg, and the elevator was out of service. We had to haul them all up to the THIRD FLOOR ourselves, while the front desk did NOTHING and didn't fix anything. Even the luggage storage room has stairs, which made everything ten times harder. 😅 Completely unacceptable and below any standard. Unbelievable.
