Amary City Residence

The rooms were very well kept and the woman at reception was friendly. The heating didn’t work very well, though, and we really needed it. We stayed over New Year’s Eve and were told it would cost an extra €50 to stay past 9 pm. The location is fairly central. All in all, quite good.

The room I got faced the back, which was lucky, and it was large. But it was pretty dirty and run-down, and didn’t look much like the photos shown here. The promised bottle of water wasn’t there either. I have a hard time believing all the five-star reviews are genuine.

It’s not especially modern, but the apartment felt like a regular home and had what I needed. The kitchen came with a stove, microwave, fridge, and all the necessary cookware and utensils. Getting around was easy too: a gas station, parking garage, supermarket, and subway station were just two streets away.

We couldn’t get into the apartment we’d booked, so we had to find a hotel instead. The key machine wasn’t working and the office was closed, leaving us to search for somewhere else on a holiday night. I wish the hoteliers nothing but hell. Burn in hell, you ugly creatures.
