The room itself was pretty good, so it’s frustrating to have to write this. On day two they changed the door code without telling us, and we were locked out with nobody to reach. None of the phone numbers were answered. Luckily we ran into a cleaner who somehow helped; otherwise we might have had to sleep in the car. If they change codes every day, guests need to be told. This is completely unreasonable, and a hotel shouldn’t be operating this way.

I paid €400 in advance for four nights through Booking, but when I arrived there was nobody there and I had received no check-in instructions. My calls and messages went unanswered. I filed a claim with Booking, which cancelled the reservation and refunded me, so I had to find somewhere else at the last minute. Total scam.

No check-in details ever came by email, so we couldn't get in, and nobody would answer the phone. Booking was no help either. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I still haven't heard a thing from Art Apartments. I booked one night through booking.com while I was in Berlin, but when check-in time came at 3 pm, they ignored my calls, WhatsApp messages, and emails. Eventually I reached booking.com and learned the property had cancelled my reservation without telling me. Booking.com was a mess too. They promised another place within 15 minutes, but five hours later offered me a bed in a hostel for 12 people. By then I’d already found somewhere at the last minute, and it was extremely expensive. Don’t book here, it wasn’t worth it.

It was cold and raining, and I was out on the street with my child in a stroller, scrambling to find another hotel. My children and I had already spent over an hour trying to reach the owners for our room keys, only to discover our booking had been cancelled without warning. They took our money and then disappeared. Completely unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The worst experience I’ve ever had.
