They set up a birthday surprise in our room for my boyfriend when we checked in, which was such a nice touch. It was our first time in Berlin and we really liked the hotel. The U2 is right outside, although snow had put it out of service for much of our trip. Other lines were a short walk away, so getting around was still easy. I was a bit uneasy about the bed arrangement before we arrived. I’d selected one double bed online, but the booking email listed two singles. I messaged right away, and they said a double should be doable depending on how busy they were, but couldn’t confirm it and said it might be possible on the day. We did get a double at check-in, luckily, though they really should confirm what you booked. The room was also extremely hot. It felt nice coming in from the snow, but waking up in the morning felt like being punched in the face, and I needed a gallon of water. It would’ve been good if they’d turned the temperature down a little. Apart from those small issues, it was a nice hotel for our visit.

The center of Berlin is walkable from here, and there’s an underground garage that was very convenient. The rooms are small but have what you need, including a kettle with tea and coffee, plus two bottles of water each day. The so-called spa area was tiny, with just two loungers and a sauna for around five people, so I wouldn’t really call it a spa. Still, we were very satisfied with our stay.

Restaurants and cafes are just a few minutes away, and Alexander Platz is about a 15 minute walk. The hotel was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was a good size with a really comfortable bed. It also had an iron and hairdryer, essentials for me 🤣

I’ve stayed here regularly for a number of years because the location works so well for a quiet visit, with good transport links. The rooms are clean, modern, and well maintained, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful.
