Getting around was easy, with plenty of tram and bus stops by the hotel, and the main station only a ten-minute walk away. Our room was great, really clean, and had comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent, and the service from all the staff was excellent too.

The breakfast was excellent, popular, and filling. The location is handy, with trams right outside and the underground just a few minutes away. But the rest of our stay was disappointing. We booked and paid for a quiet room based on earlier reviews, then arrived at 22:00 and were told none were available. It took raising the issue with three staff members before they offered a refund for the quiet-room component. The manager offered us an upgrade after the first night, but we didn’t want to pack and move. Ambulances go up and down the street continuously, day and night, so get a quiet room if you can. Cleanliness needs attention too. At check-in we were told rooms aren’t serviced daily for environmental reasons. We stayed three nights and the room was never serviced, and the rubbish wasn’t taken away. There’s no bathroom ventilation and mould on the ceiling. We reported it to two staff members, but no one came to look at it or clean it. I’d stay in this area again, but would look at other options.

Our room faced away from the streets, so it was calm and quiet, and the bed was good. The hotel is very centrally located, and breakfast was average, nothing more or less. But the room cleaning wasn’t adequate. We found items left behind by previous guests, including a T-shirt. During our five-day stay we asked for a cleaning midway through. The items were still there, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed, the toilet wasn’t cleaned, and the sheets weren’t changed. They only made the bed and replaced our towels.

A big grocery store right beside the hotel made it easy to pick up what we needed, and even recycle bottles for a little change. The location is great for reaching key tourist attractions on foot or by bicycle. The rooms are quite small, though, and the air conditioning can be a bit of a letdown in hot summer weather. You can also hear traffic outside early in the morning.
