A practical, decent hostel for anyone watching their budget. The rooms are basic and small but do the job. I especially liked the common area and getting to meet people there. Just expect backpacker style, not anything fancy.

Backpacker Berlin is in a great part of town, with lots of good restaurants and bars nearby. We had a wonderful stay and would come again. The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the place itself was very nice. We had a spacious private room upstairs with a toilet and shower close by. The window above the door let in more light at night than I liked, though it didn't bother my partner. If you're sensitive to light when sleeping, I'd ask for a room without that window.

It was so quiet, which mattered most to me, and the hostel had the feel of a shared apartment. Our double room was spacious, very clean, and came with a small balcony. I liked the decor and lighting, and the bathroom was clean too. The common areas looked lovely, with books and games to use. There was free food and drink in the kitchen, including tea, coffee, cookies, and cereal. Staff were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again on a Berlin trip.

A good budget option if you want a quiet night and a comfortable sleep, but that's about it. It's very quiet, with no social atmosphere and little interaction. Most of the staff felt cold and didn't talk much, except for one woman working in the morning. They answered questions, but only briefly. The place is neat and clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable for the price. Public transport is close, though the city center is a long way off. Depending on what you like, this could be a hit or miss.
