Right now, I wouldn’t recommend this guesthouse to people visiting Berlin. Some rooms seem to be rented long-term, mainly to residents supported by social services. In typical Berlin fashion, though, the mix includes both longtime Berliners and people who’ve recently arrived and found a roof over their heads after traveling through the Balkans.
Amazing! :D I called to reserve a room for my mother and got this exchange: “What's that?” “Hello, is this the Berlin City Pension Hotel?” “Hmm.” “So, is that a yes?” “Yes.” “I need a room for my mother...” “No.” “No? What do you mean?” “Fully booked.” “But you don't even know when she's coming?” “Until Christmas. Bye.” Then they hung up.
