Best Western Hotel Kantstrasse Berlin

The room was clean and spacious, and the service was friendly and kind. It's easy to get around Berlin from here, with public transport close by and a direct connection to the airport.

The room was spacious and laid out well, and the location is excellent, close to everything. But service was below average. The room wasn't cleaned, and even after I asked, the cleaning was poor.

The breakfast is a real highlight, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We come here every year with a group of 3-6 and stay for a week. The shopping street is right next door, with the S train station about a three-minute walk away. Rooms at the back are very quiet. The lobby is currently being renovated, but there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars a short walk away.

I can only give this hotel one star because of how my missing jacket was handled. I left two jackets in the wardrobe at checkout, a suit jacket and a valuable rain jacket. After I contacted the hotel, only the suit jacket was returned, and the rain jacket was never found despite my reporting it right away. Since they were stored together, I have good reason to believe a hotel employee kept the rain jacket. When I raised this with management, I got a legal threat instead of a constructive conversation. I found that response disappointing and unprofessional, especially as my complaint was legitimate. I had hoped to resolve things amicably, but the hotel's response did little to reassure me. The hotel itself is nice and in the center of City West. My room was medium-sized but more than adequate, clean, and equipped with the things I needed, including a desk, IPTV, free internet, and a bathroom with underfloor heating and nice lighting. Kantstr. is a little noisy, but the windows block the sound well. The location and amenities were excellent, but the way the missing item was handled left a lot to be desired. I hope future guests don't have the same experience.
