The room itself was okay, and there isn’t a physical reception with the usual hotel staff to talk to. But the WiFi stopped working for half our stay, and reaching anyone was a nightmare. We called about 25 times before we finally got through. The woman we spoke to was defensive and didn’t apologize. Since I had an international mobile plan, I ended up using it the whole time the WiFi was down. Other travelers also mention being unable to reach anyone when problems come up, like getting locked out. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this was a really bad experience for us.

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The room is simple and clean, and everything we wanted to see or needed to do was conveniently close by. It’s three courtyards back, and the host was lovely and welcoming. I’d recommend the place to anyone. It’s really adorable.

Nicholas checked us in, and he was professional and very kind. Everyone else we met in the cafe and at checkout was just as pleasant and helpful, though I didn’t get their names. We stayed for 10 days in August and had a lovely time. The room was comfortable and clean, the rates were affordable, and the location worked really well, close to the U-Bahn and surrounded by good restaurants and cafes.

Check-in and checkout were super easy. The hotel is in a beautiful building in a great part of Kreuzberg, and the room has lots of thoughtful little design touches that make it comfortable. It’s a really nice, cozy place. I’d definitely like to stay here again when I’m back in Berlin.

The owner did a wonderful job decorating the hotel, and being there felt like stepping onto a film set. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly. Stefan is a very nice guy. Totally recommend it.
