DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Ku'damm

The room was roomy and really good quality, and the reception and bar had lots of comfortable chairs where we could sit for a drink. The concierge was so helpful, sorry, I forgot their name. The hotel had apparently been renovated two years ago. We were out all day and didn’t eat there, though the food looked good. Had a great stay at the Doubletree Hilton Berlin and would recommend it. I’d stay again.

We’d happily return to the DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Kudamm. It’s in a handy spot for getting around Berlin, with public transport nearby and plenty of shops, restaurants and nightlife within walking distance. Our room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable, and being away from the main road made it quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, too.

Breakfast had a full continental spread, and I especially liked the fresh juice maker and tea infusers. The omelette was cooked to order and tasted great. I also spent a couple of hours working in the exec lounge, where the snacks and drinks were very welcome. My room was clean and a good size, with a comfy bed and a stunning view. There was a large bottle each of sparkling and still water, plus four Nespresso pods. The barman was lovely, and even though it was quiet, having wine there felt like being in a private members’ club. At check-in, a charming and incredibly helpful lady from the Seychelles upgraded my room for free and offered access to the exec lounge. It was closed at the time, but she said I could use it the next day. Everything about my stay at Hilton Berlin Ku'damm was fantastic. Thanks to the whole team for making it so memorable. I’ll definitely be back.

The suite was cozy, with a separate living room and bedroom, a big bathroom and a super comfy bed. I slept really well. Most TV channels were in German, but I connected my laptop with an HDMI cable and Netflix worked fine. The staff were fantastic. My room was ready when I arrived at noon, so they let me check in early without charging me. At checkout they also offered a late checkout at no extra cost. I’d booked a suite, so I’m not sure if that made a difference or if they were simply being kind, but I was very grateful. There’s a well stocked bar, a good gym, a sauna and a lounge area, along with other things I didn’t get around to exploring. The hotel’s in a great spot, with shops a short walk away. The bar drinks were well stocked, though service was a bit slow with just one barman. He did acknowledge the people waiting and asked us to hold on. For me, the upgraded room was worth the extra price. My ratings: staff 10/10, facilities 9/10, food and drinks 8/10, room 10/10, value 10/10. Hilton doubletree Berlin, one word: WOW.
