Garner Hotel Berlin - Wilmersdorf by IHG

The staff were all friendly and helpful, but Hicham deserves a special thank you. When our luggage was lost on our flight from Namibia, he helped us communicate with the airline, followed up, and clearly cared about getting everything sorted. His kindness and professionalism made a stressful situation much easier. Thanks to him and the whole team for the hospitality. I had a wonderful stay at Garner Hotel Wilmersdorf. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed. The location is excellent, especially if you’re going to a convention or event at Messe Berlin, which is convenient to reach. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Berlin.

The price doesn’t match what you get. At €172 in Berlin, including breakfast, I expected some basics like water, coffee, or tea, but there was absolutely nothing in the room. It was clean, though the comfort overall was rather lacking. Breakfast was enjoyable and the staff genuinely friendly. At reception, though, everyone was wearing very wrinkled, unpressed shirts. That might seem minor, but it weakened the impression and affected the guest experience. In the end, the value for money just doesn’t hold up.

The heating was a real comfort with the freezing weather outside, and my room was clean and just what I needed. I was also very happy with the reception team, who were always friendly and ready to help. As someone who observes Shabbat, I appreciated that the staff understood what I needed when I returned to my room. I left my card inside, and they opened the door for me each time with a smile. I was glad I chose Garner Hotel Berlin.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the city view from my spotless, nicely decorated room was lovely. The staff were so welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. Check-in was quick, and the concierge was helpful too. I had a wonderful time here and would happily recommend it to anyone after a luxurious, relaxing stay. Five stars.
