Hotel Am Schloss Koepenick Berlin by Golden Tulip

Our room looked out over the lake, and the sunrise with morning coffee was lovely. Breakfast was generous, the coffee was great, and the dining room view was exquisite. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and even offered an energizing welcome drink. Kopenick is a quiet area with a lively history. The hotel was easy to find, and there are lots of public transport options nearby for getting to the city center.

Breakfast was disappointing, with cheap products, and the room was still completely dirty from the previous guest. At first, we also found out parking cost an extra 10 euros. The man at reception said the room had been changed, but it really shouldn't have been left like that. I don't recommend it!!!!

The TV looked so old I was afraid to turn it on, especially for what this place costs. The bathroom and room weren't as clean as I'd expected, either. The bed was supposed to be for two, but it was made of two mattresses that kept sliding apart. At one point I nearly fell out while sleeping. I didn't feel comfortable at all. Not worth it!!!

The late checkout clearly wasn't passed on to the daytime receptionist, or maybe it was ignored. I was woken twice by rude knocks, even though I'd put the SSSHHHHH sign outside as the nice night receptionist had told me to. I understand staff have to coordinate the process, but guests should be treated with more respect. The night receptionist himself was lovely and very nice.
