Hotel Amo By Amano

The location is great, right outside a train station. The rooms were clean, the staff were accommodating, and housekeeping was done regularly. They’re on the small side, and the ceiling slopes in some spots, which could be an issue if you’re tall. We tried the buffet breakfast one day. It was convenient, but I’m not sure it’s worth having every day. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

The room matched its description and everything worked really well. It’s compact, though, with little space for clothes if you’re staying more than a couple of days. Service was great, and the location works well for visiting Berlin.

The location is unbeatable, and the hotel itself is modern, clean, and pleasant. The rooms could use some basic things, though: a fridge, desk, and proper mirrors. The TV only had regular cable, with no Smart TV features, so there was no Netflix or YouTube streaming. Service was a letdown. Check-in is mostly self-service, and there wasn’t much staff around. Room service took our towels without leaving replacements. We asked at the lobby several times and waited far too long. When I finally went down myself, they said there was “nothing more they could do” and told me to keep waiting. That felt dismissive. Getting a towel shouldn’t be so difficult.

The rooms are very clean, and checking in and out was easy. They’re really small, but perfectly fine for two people on a short stay. The location is great, with good restaurants and food nearby and easy transport.
