Hotel Delisa

The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the metro was close by. Those are about the only good things I can say. The place was seriously dirty, with mould and stains on the bedding, thin walls, no shampoo or chair, and housekeeping only if you asked. I ended up covered in insect bites. Arriving at night felt deeply unsafe. It's affordable, but still costs too much for what you get. Even in Kabul, this would rank among the worst hotels.

Everything worked as it should, and the service was amazing. Our room was comfortable and really clean, and the bathroom was spotless. The staff were kind and helped me with everything I needed. I had a great stay and would happily come back next time. Definitely recommend it.

We asked the hotel for help, but no one followed up or seemed to care, so we were left dealing with the problems until checkout. The bed was broken and uncomfortable, the shower barely worked properly, and even the towels were handed out in an unhygienic way. The room itself was dusty and dirty, with spiders and cobwebs. A really disappointing stay, and absolutely not worth the price.

We slept really well, and once we got out and about, the location made sense. The neighbourhood is clean and relaxed, with a supermarket under 100 metres away, fuel about 200 metres away, and transport around 300 metres away. It's excellent value if you just need a no-frills place to sleep, shower, and see the sights. We're a bit outside central Berlin, so I gave the location three stars, though that's not the hotel's fault. If you can use public transport, this works well. We arrived at 11pm and the place looked scary. My wife wasn't impressed, but the receptionist was polite and helpful. The room was clean, though there were no towels. We always bring our own anyway.
